Yes, that’s correct. Speaker Nancy Pelosi promised in an interview with Wolf Blitzer that there would be no pork in the stimulus package.
But she had absolutely no regrets about one of the pork-barrel projects.

Turns out that $2.8 billion set aside for the Rural Utilities Service’s Broadband Grand and Loan Program (RUS) of the Department of Agriculture (*breath*) will be given to a program which is already overlaying already existing service and driving out business.
